Popular Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken candidly about her personal life, revealing what she believes contributes to her youthful appearance, her relationship with talent manager Paul Okoye, and the reasons behind the end of her first marriage.
The actress made the revelations during an interview on The Morayo Show, hosted by media personality **Morayo Afolabi-Brown>.
Iyabo Ojo on Beauty and Confidence
Speaking about her youthful glow, Iyabo Ojo said happiness and emotional fulfilment play an important role in a woman’s wellbeing. She also jokingly remarked that an active and satisfying intimate life contributes to her confidence and appearance, adding that she is happy in her current relationship.
She stressed that personal happiness is not determined by marital status but by being with the right partner who offers love, understanding, and support.
Relationship with Paul O
The actress described her relationship with Paul O as one built on maturity, mutual respect, and understanding.
According to her, although both of them have demanding careers and occasionally disagree, they always find ways to resolve their differences while respecting each other’s personal space.
Iyabo publicly confirmed her relationship with Paul O in 2022, and the couple has remained together since then.
Why She Left Her Marriage
Reflecting on her previous marriage to Ademidun Ojo, the actress admitted that she realised very early that the marriage was not working.
She revealed that, in hindsight, the relationship should have ended much sooner but explained that she carefully considered her decision before eventually walking away.
According to Iyabo, leaving the marriage was motivated by her desire to protect her children and preserve her peace of mind. She believes the decision created a better future for her family.
The marriage produced two children, Priscilla Ojo and Felix Ojo. In 2025, Iyabo and her former husband reunited publicly during Priscilla’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, attracting widespread attention on social media.
New Book and Movie in the Works
The actress also disclosed that she plans to tell more of her personal story in an upcoming memoir and a new cinema project inspired by her life experiences.
According to her, both projects will give fans deeper insight into the challenges she faced, the lessons she learned, and the journey that shaped the woman she is today.
